Retired, but still not dead!

bandana.no was my first site

In 1997 when it became obvious for everyone, even me, that I was very sick. I was bleeding from my lungs, my troth, my mouth and my nose. I got sick leave of course and the doctors quickly diagnosed me as overexposed for chemical solvents.

After a year I was offered education so that I could get another job, «a clean one», without any contact with solvents.

I lived in Haugesund at the time and was offered a place at a graphic design school in Stavanger. They would teach me Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and QuarkXPress, as well as a lot of things that I already knew.

It was a long way to travel (I had to get up at 4 am!), with both bus and boats.

I went one year at that school and got a new year in a school in Haugesund who dealt with programming and design. In 2002 I got my first internet access and bought the domain bandana.no

My first webpage was built with notepad and Photoshop/Illustrator.

Then I got retired (a lot of government money wasted), but in spite of all my education the doctors meant it would be best for me. Norway is a good country to live in even now as we have a government who do their best to tear the country apart.

The rest is history …

Me – in 2002 – I don’t smoke anymore though …

If you wonder who the me in this story is, click here!

I could never get rid of bandana.no so I have decided to make this blog, it will contain photographs and pictures and very, very little text. Pictures from Bergen, my hometown and a lot of things that I usually take for granted.
